A small punch needle, woven mat and stranded embroidery thread are all you need for this simple script. Print the template

JUNE (see page 164) to size with a laser printer. To transfer, lay it face down on wrong side of mat and, using heavy pressure, rub back of template with paper towel dampened with acetone. Thread a 2.2mm punch needle and start punching along script in a single row. Double punches for a bold line or vary the width for an inked look. The mat is too bulky for a hoop, so hold it taut as you punch. Secure loose ends and prevent snags by dabbing hot glue on the back of the mat.
