TAKE FLIGHT

-

Touches of watercolour paint turn white paper baking cases into flu ering bu erflies. Pinch each folded and trimmed wing into a clothes peg to make the body, then add the antennae. Cute!

STEP 1 For each bu erfly, fold 4 paper baking cases in half, then in half again. Cut the rounded edges of each baking cup into scallops.

STEP 2 Dampen a small sponge brush and paint the edges of each wing, using watercolour paints. Leave wings to dry.

STEP 3 Stack and overlap 2 wings so scallops are staggered. Glue the wings together at the inner folds. Repeat with remaining pair of wings.

STEP 4 Join wings together at the inner folds using a clothes peg. Cut a single piece of twine for antennae, fold in half and insert into the clothes peg above the wings.

?? ?? ALL AFLUTTER Glue a magnet to the bu erflies’ back, then use it to hang your kid’s artwork on the fridge.
