CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT

-

Make a flower crown of pre y paper blooms for kids’ dress-up games. Using two baking cases for each flower, you just fold, trim and tape. Create as many flowers as you like, then glue to a circlet.

STEP 1 Stack 2 same-size paper baking cases. Fold cases in half, then fold halves into thirds. Cut edges of folded cases into short waves or rounded scallops. Cut along the pleats of folded cases as desired to create petals, leaving the flat centre intact.

STEP 2 Roll folded cases into a cone and separate the petals by gently bending each one back. Secure folded end with washi tape. Repeat to make an assortment of large and small flowers.

STEP 3 Cut a piece of wired twine to fit around your child’s head. Twist the ends together to make a ring. Hot-glue the flowers to the ring in a cluster. Cut

a few leaf shapes from green baking cups, and hot-glue them around the outside edges of the flower cluster. Cover any exposed wire with washi tape.
