Not sleeping puts people at a higher risk of developing dementia at a later stage, according to dementia and aged-care expert Tamar Krebs. She says while there isn’t enough research proving how to slow dementia, you can slow its onset by making sure you get adequate amounts of sleep, as well as taking care of your heart, socialisin­g, eating well, staying purposeful and training your brain by learning new things.
