When leaves lose their green colour, it means the chlorophyll that absorbs sunlight and helps them photosynthesise is reduced or removed. This means they grow more slowly than all-green-leafed plants. To compensate for this, give them more sunlight than your other plants, but not so much that the leaves get scorched. Most indoor plants are understorey plants and appreciate filtered light in their natural state.
