WHERE’S THE FIRE?

Give your fire space to ‘burn’ by sitting it on top of scavenged tree branches

-

You can make a small cake topper from cardstock or large campfire felt flames.

Gather your supplies

• White cardstock

• Felt in red, orange, and gold or yellow

• Fabric glue

For you to note

• Felt sheets come in A4 size, so keep that in mind when deciding on the size of your campfire.

Here’s how

STEP 1 Photocopy 1 of the flame diagrams, enlarging or reducing to desired size. Trace large flame 2 times onto cardstock and 4 times onto red felt. Trace medium flame 4 times onto orange felt. Trace small flame

4 times onto gold or yellow felt. Cut out flame shapes.

STEP 2 Glue a large redflames. felt flame on each side of each cardstock flame, place aligning edges and flipping pieces as required. You'll want to end up with 1 each of the A and B diagrams.

STEP 3 Glue a medium orange felt flame onto each side of each large red felt flame, aligning base edges.

STEP 4 Glue a small gold or

yellow felt flame onto each side of each orange flame, aligning bases.

STEP 5 Referring to the dashed line on the A: Back diagram, cut 1 finished flame

in half vertically. Glue each half perpendicular to the remaining whole flame, aligning base edges so flame will stand up.
