CHAIR BACK DECO

Take a length of covered wreath wire and wind it around the top rail of your chair, keeping it tight to create a good grip for the flowers. A wide blanket stitch is excellent for stability. Repeat this step with ribbon to cover the wire, then a€ach a few lengths of ribbon at either end to drape elegantly. Using secateurs, snip flowers and foliage to a neat length to fit along the chair rail, then push these in place behind the wire. Keep layering along the chair rail until you have a full floral effect.

DECO TIP

You’ll find it best to use garden flowers with strong or woody stems, such as roses, plus preserved and/or dried flowers for longevity.
