NAPKIN TIE

-

Measure and use sharp scissors to cut through several layers of tissue paper to make 20cm square sheets (Step 1). Working with all the layers as if they were one sheet of tissue paper, make 1cm-wide concertina-style folds across the tissue (Step 2). Cut the folded tissue in half to create 2 sections, then place them on top of each other. Tie tissue together in the middle with string, then cut away corners of the tissue paper at each end to create curved edges (Step 3). Start ruffling one half of your ‘flower-to-be’ by delicately pulling apart tissue layers and fanning them out. (Step 4). Ruffle petals of remaining half of flower. Use loose ends of string to a€ach centre of decorative ribbon to finished flower (Step 5). Place flower on your napkin with ribbon ends loose, or use them to tie around napkin (Step 6).
