BOWEL CANCER

-

Eligible Australians aged from 50 to 74 are encouraged to do a free, faecal occult blood test (FOBT) as part of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. The test is sent to the address in your Medicare records every two years. It’s simple, quick and is done at home. If you’re at risk of bowel cancer you may need a colonoscopy every five years. Discuss your situation with your doctor. For more details regarding home testing call 1800 627 701 or visit health.gov.au.
