BEFORE YOU START

• For speed, ease of use and neat accurate cuts,

selected project shapes were cut using the Cricut Maker 3 cu ing machine. However, all projects – bar the cards, mini rose es and mini stars – can be hand cut with a cu er or metal ruler and scalpel. Circle punches can be used to make circles.

• The templates for selected projects can be found at design.cricut.

com. To get started, simply go to design.

cricut.com to download the Cricut Design Space app on your desktop, tablet or mobile and sign up. Open the app and enter ‘Bhgchristmas’ in the search bar. You will then be able to access the image set with the template for your desired project and

click on it to choose it.

• If you want to alter or resize the project, click

‘Customise’, then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes. Click ‘Make It’. When you click on ‘Make It’, you will also have the option to duplicate your design and, once entered, click ‘Apply’. Insert your scoring wheel or fine-point-blade cu ing blade when prompted. The score lines are done first, then the cuts. • Place paper or card onto required Cricut cu ing mat, load the mat into the machine and then choose the appropriate material se ing in Design Space. It’s important to use a sharp blade when cu ing wrapping paper to prevent it tearing.
