PLEATED WRAP

STEP 1 Measure wrapping paper 78cm wide across the bottom and mark the centre at 39cm. At each end, measure up 9cm and mark. Then measure 40cm up from the centre and mark. Fold paper in half on the centre line.

STEP 2 Use metal ruler to connect the marks, from tip to side, then cut along this line with a scalpel.

STEP 3 Working from the centre fold out to sides, use the scoring tool to lightly score 2cm lines across paper. The last score mark is only about 1cm out from the side edge.

STEP 4 Open out paper and begin folding mountain and valley folds, accordion style, across 1 half of the paper, ensuring the first fold on right side of paper is a mountain fold. Repeat for remaining half of paper. STEP 5 Arrange accordion folded paper, right side up, with bottle in the centre. Ensure bottom of bottle lines up with bottom of paper. Working a few centimetres up from the bottom, gather an even number of accordion folds on either side of bottle and hold them in place against bottle with your fingers first, then a rubber band. Tie ribbon around bottle, then finish with a bow, before removing rubber band.
