EASY STEPS TO YOUR DOUBLE BOOKSHELF

Turn a pair of boring bookshelves into a custom creation! Sand, undercoat and paint to suit your colour scheme, then bring units together, clamp, predrill and join with screws. For that built-in look, continuous lengths of timber are the key. Use a rectangular piece around the bottom as skirting and, around the top, use decorative moulding with square pine attached to create crown moulding. Finish with coverstrap moulding down centre of unit to hide the join. Attach your unit to the wall with angled brackets for safety.
