FIND YOUR BEST SHADE

To find out if cool or warm, strong or muted shades are your best friend, tie back your hair and, without makeup on, hold a bright pink (cool), then soft pink item or piece of fabric under your chin. Focus on your complexion. Does it look even, blotchy or dull? Tired or fresh? Do the same with a bright orange (warm), then soft beige item or piece of fabric. Does your skin look more even and brighter with one option? If you’re unsure, swap back and forth until you know which colour – and vibrancy – works best. Also ask a friend to be there to give an extra opinion.
