Third party is compulsory, but consider comprehensive too. With insurance brand Stella (stellainsurance.com. au), for one, if you’re the first registered owner, your car is written off in its first three years and it’s driven less than 60,000km, they’ll replace it with a new car.*

When you lose your belongings, in say a theft, fire or flood, the emotional and financial toll of replacement can be huge. But with home and contents cover, you can at least combat the latter.
