BRING THEM INDOORS
OFFER
• When cu ing bulbs from your garden, look for buds that are about to open so your display lasts longer.
• Cut stems with a sharp knife at a 45° angle. Fill clean vases to about a third or half full with room-temperature water and replace it daily. Remove leaves that will sit in the water.
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from the draught of air-conditioners or fans.
• Don’t place daffodils in the same vase as other bulbs because cut daffodils discharge a sap that prevents other flowers from taking up water.
• Don’t put flowers near fruit, especially bananas, since they release ethylene as they ripen, which will make flowers wilt.
