STOP THE LEAK

PLUG A LEAK IN YOUR OLD GUTTERS WITHOUT WAITING FOR THE RAIN TO STOP!

-

You often don’t find out you have a problem with your gutters until there’s rain – and if it’s bad enough, there’s no time to waste in fixing it up. A couple of emergency patching products will let you plug a leak until more permanent repairs can be made. You can also protect your gutters from developing a leak in the first place.

Remember to stay safe! Only climb a ladder in the wet if it’s an emergency

EMERGENCY LEAK SEALANT

The joins between building materials are hot spots for water leaks! And, if the water is getting inside, it’s causing damage you usually can’t see, making repairs a huge priority. A silicone compound that sticks to wet surfaces is the answer.

Here’s how STEP 1

Clean the surface with a scourer to remove any dirt or grease from around the leak area. STEP 2 Apply a generous bead of silicone to the join, using the nozzle to force it right into the leak. Once the water has stopped, smooth off the silicone flush with the surface.
