TOP TREATMENT

In a well-draining site with at least six hours’ sun daily, where roses haven’t grown before (the nematodes would kill the new roots), plant bare-root roses in winter.

HEAVEN SCENT

If your soil is super sandy or heavy clay, add compost and water in well, fertilising once buds appear in spring. Then be ready to smell the heavenly blooms.
