What you wish people knew
“IT DOESN’T just magically appear on the store’s shelf by itself.”
Those were the words of truckie Garry Whyler, who was one of Big Rigs’ many followers who shared what they wished people who weren’t in the industry knew.
Warwick Lewis said he just wanted respect.
“Respect the people who make it happen,” he said.
“Without trucks Australia stops.”
Brian Gray shared that sentiment.
“If trucks stop, Australians starve.”
Brendon Parker wanted people to learn about breaking distances, Tom Ruff wished they knew about the “excessive over-enforcement” of the industry, and for Dave Hoey it was that truckies were dedicated and hard workers.
Jason Finnie and Colin Patrick Tomelty offered up the fact that truckies spent a lot of time away from home.
