Don’t take away coffee vans

THERE’S more than one fight brewing in Yelgun and it’s not just about the caravanners.

David Phillips, who loves putting a smile on truckies’ faces every day and making them coffee, faces an uncertain future as a review of the NSW rest stops and who can operate there is undertaken by Roads and Maritime Services.

Readers were angered by this prospect. Keith Morrell said if this was going to be the case, then he wanted better services provided in towns he passed through.

“Are the RMS, VicRoads etc included in the CoR (Chain of Responsibility laws)? They bloody should be,” he said.

Peta Robson-Smith said before looking at these types of mobile services, they should do something about the light vehicles and caravans that continually blocked up the truck parking bays instead.
