TRUCKIES and caravanners often criticise each other for their habits on the highways and byways.
Melbourne man Peter Winters is not sure which category he falls into after purchasing an Isuzu 200 with a slide-on Winnebago van.
“I only bought this recently and have done just 150km in it,” he said.
The 53-year-old Peter said he needed to make some repairs before hitting Australia’s highways where he would determine if he was a truckie or a caravanner.
“All the lights went out and it was something to do with the fuses. Anyway I have to fix it,” he said.
Peter parked up at a North Queensland roadhouse and the good news is that some nearby truckies yarned to him and offered some advice.
In the coming months Peter expects to meet many truckies and van drivers as he travels.
