Big crowds greet more than 540 trucks

THE mo­ment Bris­bane Con­voy for Kids trea­surer Leanne Din­ning looked at the Red­cliffe bridge as the con­voy rolled through was one that she’ll never for­get.

Leanne said it was an amaz­ing sight to see the streets lined with peo­ple cheer­ing the con­voy and hold­ing signs that thanked truck­ies for their hard work.

“It was a very mov­ing mo­ment,” she said.

The Bris­bane Con­voy for Kids was held in early Novem­ber and more than 540 trucks took part in the mas­sive Queens­land event that also in­cluded utes and a mo­torhome.

Leanne said all those who at­tended the fun day had a great time, es­pe­cially those who trav­elled all the way from across the ditch in New Zealand.

“It was just an amaz­ing day.”
