CHURCHILL Transport of Holbrook was well represented at the 2018 Albury-Wodonga Convoy for Kids, and among the 12 Churchills trucks contingent was Jason Harders of Albury.
Jason was driving a Kenworth K200, powered by a 620 Cummins, which he puts to good use running a fridge van between Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Jason has clocked up a quarter-century on the road, starting out with Greenfreight in Myrtleford loading and tarping timber on local, operating a Flintstone Mack before upgrading to an International S-Line.
Jason reckons the upgrades along the Pacific Highway have made the run up the East Coast a lot better than in previous times.
He’s been been with Churchills for a couple of months and likes to keep his truck well turned-out. “They run top gear and I keep it like my own,” he said.
At home Jason has a 2015 Harley-Davidson Soft Tail which he takes to the winding roads of north-east Victoria on a weekend.
“It’s my therapy,” he said with a grin.
