Hundreds pay tribute to Anzacs and enjoy gunfire breakfast
One of the community’s most beloved traditions was kept alive last week, as the Broome Returned and Services League once gain held its Anzac Day gunfire breakfast.
Hundreds gathered at the popular spot moments after the dawn service at Bedford Park last Wednesday to enjoy a hot feed, cooked up by the Lioness Club of Broome.
Broome RSL administrator Graeme Campbell said more than 400 plates of breakfast were served, which showed how important the day was for the community. “I am very pleased with the turnout by people of all ages,” he said.
