Hun­dreds pay trib­ute to Anzacs and en­joy gun­fire break­fast

One of the com­mu­nity’s most beloved tra­di­tions was kept alive last week, as the Broome Re­turned and Ser­vices League once gain held its An­zac Day gun­fire break­fast.

Hun­dreds gath­ered at the pop­u­lar spot mo­ments after the dawn ser­vice at Bed­ford Park last Wed­nes­day to en­joy a hot feed, cooked up by the Lioness Club of Broome.

Broome RSL ad­min­is­tra­tor Graeme Camp­bell said more than 400 plates of break­fast were served, which showed how im­por­tant the day was for the com­mu­nity. “I am very pleased with the turnout by peo­ple of all ages,” he said.
