Cyclists take on Gibb Challenge for charity
The Kimberley’s Gibb River Road has been filled with more than 60 teams of cyclists making the journey from Derby to Kununurra in the name of charity.
The Gibb Challenge has returned in its 11th year, which saw riders on their fat bikes taking on 660km of corrugated and dusty road from Derby to El Questro in Kununurra from Sunday, May 13, through to Thursday, May 17.
The challenge attracts teams from across Australia, sharing a passion for adventure, team spirit and helping to raise money for charity. This year, funds raised during the Gibb Challenge will go towards the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which is celebrating 90 years of service in 2018.
