Cy­clists take on Gibb Chal­lenge for char­ity

The Kim­ber­ley’s Gibb River Road has been filled with more than 60 teams of cy­clists mak­ing the jour­ney from Derby to Ku­nunurra in the name of char­ity.

The Gibb Chal­lenge has re­turned in its 11th year, which saw rid­ers on their fat bikes tak­ing on 660km of cor­ru­gated and dusty road from Derby to El Que­stro in Ku­nunurra from Sun­day, May 13, through to Thurs­day, May 17.

The chal­lenge at­tracts teams from across Australia, shar­ing a pas­sion for ad­ven­ture, team spirit and help­ing to raise money for char­ity. This year, funds raised dur­ing the Gibb Chal­lenge will go towards the Royal Fly­ing Doc­tor Ser­vice, which is cel­e­brat­ing 90 years of ser­vice in 2018.
