Cable Beach’s vibrant past

Broome Advertiser - - News - Peter Johnston, Broome

Peter Taylor well done. I agree with your comments.

Does anyone remember when we had jetskis, surf cats, parasailing? I do. Cable Beach was a vibrant place back then until 9/11. Now, as for Manly Beach, it is 1.4km long and Cable Beach is around six. I go down to Cable Beach four days per week and talk to people down there and one of the most common comments is “nice beach, not much to do”.

As for noise, I don’t know if it’s selective hearing but aircraft taking off and landing is a lot more noisy than jetskis.

Well done to the Shire for remembering we ride on the tourists’ back.
