Reign­ing pre­miers Hor­nets have con­tin­ued to build mo­men­tum early in the 2018/2019 wet sea­son com­pe­ti­tion with a sec­ond suc­ces­sive vic­tory.

The Hor­nets took on Gantheaume Point­ers in round 2 last Thurs­day.

The Hor­nets were quick to build up a lead and set a chal­lenge for the Point­ers with strong de­fence early on.

While the Point­ers looked to keep the mar­gin rel­a­tively nar­row, they suf­fered an eight-point deficit at quar­ter-time.

In the sec­ond quar­ter the Point­ers be­gan to show signs of an early come­back, only to be shut down by the Hor­nets as they ex­tended their lead.

Hor­nets be­gan to dom­i­nate the court as they brought the mar­gin up to 20 points at half-time. Af­ter the main break, Hor­nets con­tin­ued
