Bishop’s Annual Christmas Appeal
It’s that me of year again, where we ask the people of Broome to give generously to Bishop’s Annual Christmas Appeal. Last year 160 hampers were delivered around Broome on Christmas Eve. These hampers provide food to those who may otherwise have nothing to eat over the Christmas period. Following the 2017 appeal, Bishop Saunders, who distributes the hampers, said, “Once more we are able to enhance the wellbeing of families in Broome who are in need at Christmas me. This was possible because of the generosity of the many people in Broome who donated food stuff for the hampers at the major grocery outlets in Broome … I know personally of families that would not have eaten but for the fact that the hampers were delivered on Christmas eve as always.” Dona ons can be made at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cathedral, the Chancery Office and in marked boxes at supermarkets around Broome.
