Latest in Broome, Derby
Another year has come and gone and the fishing in and around Broome has been as good as ever.
The Broome Fishing Club has held several successful competitions throughout 2018 and the 10month long Broome Progressive Supplies aggregate competition was no exception.
It was certainly a family affair with one family taking out all three champion titles with Todd Sullivan taking out the Junior Champion award in a very close competition.
Tracy Sullivan took out the Champion Female title in another close-fought competition.
Ross Italiano was awarded the Champion Male for the year but Todd Sullivan was awarded the Champion Over All title in yet another tightly fought competition with only 25cm difference in the overall champion category after 10 months of fishing.
The Broome Fishing Club will be have a break over Christmas and will be closed from December 24, reopening on January 11.
To start the new year the Broome Fishing Club will be kicking off with a barra competition during February, weather permitting of course.

This will be the last fishing column for the year and I have had fun writing stories and posting photos of locals with their captures. I will be back in January with more.
