Local businesses showcase how they help ladies look and feel their best.

WITH a name that simply oozes fashion and an owner that clearly has a passion for helping ladies of all ages look their best, The High Street is definitely a place to shop.

The High Street is the realisation of a dream for owner Bree Kaufusi, who has been very clear in her vision to provide women of all shapes, sizes and ages with on-trend styles at an affordable price.

Bree says after plenty of hard work behind the scenes, she is proud of her boutique and the journey of her new career.

“The response has been overwhelming and, as a working mum, I am so grateful,” she said. “Customers have commented that they enjoy the fact that the labels I stock are easy-to-wear shapes, suits for different sizes and bodies ranging from casual-day looks to those more glam evening events.

“I started out well with a great location surrounded by well-established local businesses that is so convenient in Electra St– so my customers appreciate knowing we have our own carpark.”

Being a mum, Bree appreciates that other mothers are looking for trend-driven but also functional fashion.

“As women, we deserve to look and feel good and we can sometimes forget this,” she said.

“I also love that I have a lot of mother/daughter duos that shop together – this is definitely a nice thing to still see and to know that there will be something instore for the both of them.”

As we begin to approach the cooler months, Bree recommends more trans-seasonal styles including long-sleeve tops and dresses, knits and jackets – nothing too heavy though and keeping within our climate.

“Betty Basics provides ladies the options of all-year-round essentials that remain on trend with new little injections to the ranges for the different seasons,” she said.
