SkyTeam boosts meetings offering

-

THE SkyTeam airline alliance has enhanced its Global Meetings product, with the change said to “make arranging travel to international meetings and events easier than ever”.

hnder the changes there’s an upgraded schedule page which summarises SkyTeam airlines operating services to the chosen destination on the required date of travel, with a range of prices so attendees can easily select the option that meets their needs.

There’s also an updated welcome page for delegates giving more detailed information about the benefits of booking travel via Global Meetings.

SkyTeam’s Manager Commercial Development, Edward Hollo, said the take-up of the product had surged 18% year-on-year, with a series of high profile organisations choosing SkyTeam as their preferred alliance partner for international events.

“Our innovative approach means we have developed a product tailored to every aspect of the meetings industry in terms of size, network scope and value,” Hollo said.

The program is available across all of SkyTeam’s 20 member airlines to more than 1,000 destinations globally.

It’s free to sign up and has a minimum of just 50 attendees who must be flying from at least two countries, other than the one where the event is held.

Discounts of up to 15% are on offer, applicable to both Economy and Business travel, including promotional fares, and the Global Meetings system searches for the best available prices for attendees which they can book online via a dedicated portal.

Organisers are also offered a free ticket for every 50 booked, along with a comprehensive marketing package and a dedicated support desk.

SkyTeam members operating into Australia include Garuda Indonesia, Delta Air Lines, <orean Air, Vietnam Airlines, Xiamen Air, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern and China Airlines.
