A RECORD number of delegates attended the Alibaba Group’s flagship eCommerce expo last weekend, with 9,100 visitors arriving at the International Convention Centre (ICC) to learn how to tap into the eCommerceenabled Chinese economy.
The two-day event featured a full day conference on Sat, with keynote speakers including Janine Allis, founder and director of Boost Juice Bars and Retail Zoo, Oliver Horn, managing director of Suisse Wellness and Rachael Gorman, global strategy director for Seafolly.
The event also gave attendees the chance to experience Alibaba’s augmented reality retail technology, the Alibaba Cloud, as well as the opportunity to meet with Chinese buyers.
The conference heads to Melbourne next month, taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18-20 Oct.
