CHINA

The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, is slated for a 2017 opening. The developmen­t is part of the Shum Yip’s Upper Hills developmen­t near the city’s new central business district of Futian. Onyx Hospitalit­y Group will open the Amari Huidong and Amari Dali by 2016. Situated in Guangdong and Yunnan respective­ly, the two properties will offer resort-style accommodat­ions in these two emerging destinatio­ns. Interconti­nental Hotels Group will unveil a new 700-room Indigo-branded property on October 4 in China – Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town.

INDIA

Oberoi has extended its Trident brand into Hyderabad with the opening of a five-star hotel in the southern Indian city.

SOUTH KOREA

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will enter the Korean market with the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, which is projected to open in May 2015.

SINGAPORE

Carlton City Hotel Singapore has opened its doors under the Worldhotel­s brand. The property comprises 386 rooms, including top-floor suites. Westin Singapore looks set to commence operations soon, with the official opening date currently scheduled for November 2013. Rooms can now be booked through the hotel’s website.

UAE

Hilton Hotels and Resorts has refurbishe­d and opened its latest hotel in the United Arab Emirates, the 281-room Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi.

OTHER

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company plans to have establishe­d a total of 100 properties by 2016. New destinatio­ns include Israel, India and Morocco.
