Star letter

Helen Webster, Melbourne, Australia

I wrote to you last year about my unfortunate experience flying with China Southern Airlines (CZ) from Guangzhou from Melbourne. Just recently I travelled premium economy on the same route and the change was quite remarkable. The plane was new and sparkling, the seats had screens and the inflight entertainment was extensive. The flight attendants were much more friendly and smiled more. The white wine and water were cold, not lukewarm, and there was butter served with the bread roll unlike before.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience – CZ’s timing is always impeccable, safety seems to be of paramount importance and now that its inflight service has improved so much – and I’m sure will continue to do so – I urge people to travel with them without hesitation.
