BA increases Gold Executive Club benefits

-

British Airways (BA) Executive Club Gold members with more than 5,000 tier points can now nominate a family member or friend for a Gold Partner Card and two more for Silver Partner Cards.

This new benefit replaces the single Silver Partner Card that BA previously awarded Gold Executive Club members upon reaching 4,500 points.

Executive Club members receive a Gold card after reaching 1,500 tier points in a year. For those who continue to fly – and earn tier points – BA offers further benefits. One of these had previously been the ability to give a single Silver Partner Card.

Gold members who have already nominated someone to receive a Gold partner card in their current membership year can now nominate an additional two people to receive Silver tier status.

All three partner cards can then be nominated again at the beginning of the next membership year. The other benefits of Gold membership remain the same.

As BA states on its website: “At 2,500 tier points, and again at 3,500 tier points, we’ll award you with a Gold Upgrade For Two voucher... at 5,000 tier points, you will receive the Concorde Room Card... [and] two Executive Club Silver Partner Cards and one Gold Partner Card so that you can share your benefits with those that matter most to you.”

To nominate family or friends for partner cards, Gold members need to login at www.ba.com and select “Executive Club Partner Card”.

A BA statement said: “The family and friends list is a new enhancement to your Household Account. Nominate three people to receive an Executive Club Partner Card, and spend your Household Avios on up to five family and friends that do not live at the same address as you.” www.ba.com
