Business travellers are often faced with planning events in unfamiliar locations, or arranging last-minute meetings with new contacts. At The Westin Bund Centre Shanghai, travellers can rest assured that a choice of comfortable, well-equipped meeting facilities are ready to fulfil their every need.

Boasting a prime location, the 26-storey hotel is situated near the historic Bund, strategically placing it within a 5-minute walk of Shanghai’s magnificent waterfront and key business districts. In an area where building heights are restricted, The Westin Bund Centre Shanghai offers fabulous city views, with glimpses of the Huangpu River.

Meeting and banquet venues cover 1,842 square metres in total, ideal for all kinds of functions. The Diamond Ballroom and 17 function rooms are located on Level 2, 3 and 5, and include a newly-renovated Topaz meeting room featuring state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment. The hotel also recently introduced the Heavenlies Lobby Lounge, a unique event space for up to 200 that is flooded by natural light, surrounded by feng shui elements and features a stunning glass staircase.

These exceptional event facilities are complemented by the hotel’s meeting butler service, which will ensure that all details from pre-planning, follow-up and on-site execution are carried off without a hitch. A personalised meet-and-greet service for all delegates upon check-in is also standard, as is a dedicated on-call service.

Aside from the meeting rooms, The Westin Bund Centre Shanghai completed a refurbishment of its Crown Tower rooms in line with the six Westin pillars, which includes ergonomic work desks, newly added data ports and an overall better working environment. The Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed has also received an upgrade in all 570 guestrooms, ensuring that guests can enjoy a good night’s sleep after a long day.

Running through the core of the hotel is a focus on wellness. This includes a SuperFoods-focused menu that is rich in antioxidants and health-enhancing ingredients. “Discovery runs” organised by the RunWestin experience are another wellness highlight, where the Westin Running Concierge doubles as a cultural guide, highlighting points of art, history and nature during the run. For those that prefer a more conventional fitness experience, the 24/7 fitness centre is available.

With exceptional facilities, a fantastic location and a nurturing experience for guests – what more could a business traveller need? How about a bonus incentive: the SPG Pro promotion means that meeting and event planners, corporate and leisure travel professionals, or executive assistants can earn personal Starpoints and elite status from professional bookings. Whatever the event, guests will earn one Starpoint for every three US dollars spent. These can then be redeemed for free stays or upgrades at participating brands.
