QAN­TAS is set to over­haul six of its in­ter­na­tional, do­mes­tic and re­gional lounges as part of an on­go­ing lounge up­grade plan.

The cur­rent phase will see A$1.6 bil­lion (US$1.17 bil­lion) ploughed into Syd­ney, Auck­land, Tokyo Narita and Bris­bane: Syd­ney In­ter­na­tional First lounge will be ex­panded by 15 per cent and given an over­all re­vamp; First and Busi­ness lounges in Auck­land will be com­bined to form a sin­gle lounge mod­elled after those in Lon­don and Hong Kong; the In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness Lounge at Tokyo Narita air­port will re­ceive a new de­sign and up­graded din­ing op­tions; and Bris­bane In­ter­na­tional Lounge – which only opened in Oc­to­ber 2016 – is set to un­dergo ex­pan­sion work to in­crease its ca­pac­ity by 100 guests.

Fi­nally, the car­rier’s Qan­tas Re­gional Lounge at Tam­worth and The Qan­tas Club at Ho­bart will both be re­ceiv­ing new de­signs with more seat­ing. qan­tas.com
