In­ter­na­tional news chan­nel France 24 was launched in De­cem­ber 2006 in English and French. Shortly after­wards, the chan­nel also be­gan broad­cast­ing in Ara­bic. Last year marked a new phase in France 24’s de­vel­op­ment with the launch of a fourth chan­nel in Span­ish.
