IT WAS a sad day on November 5 as Cathay Pacific shut the doors on its popular The Arrival lounge in Hong Kong to make way for the airport’s terminal redevelopment plan.

At this stage it remains unclear whether Cathay will open a new facility – the airline has stated that it will continue to explore “new ways and partnerships that enhance [its] product and service offerings”, but admits that availability for an alternative location is currently limited and not especially suitable.

Located on Level 3 between the airport’s two terminals, The Arrival lounge was a regular stopping point for early arrivals into the city. cathaypacific.com
