THERE’S GOOD NEWS for fans of All Nippon Airways’ (ANA) premium economy offering with the airline recently announcing that it will be making miles redemption for premium economy award tickets possible starting this month, with upgrades from economy to premium economy due to follow in 2020.

Currently, ANA only allows members of its Mileage Club frequent-flyer programme to redeem miles for award tickets in first, business and economy class, while upgrades are restricted to first and business.

However, from December 5, Mileage Club members will be able to use their miles to book premium economy award tickets for flights departing on April 1, 2019 onwards. And while upgrades to premium economy won’t be available until April 1, 2020, the change is certain to be a welcome one for premium economy fans.
