EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
Grand Hyatt Macau’s stellar venues, dedicated staff and great location ensure event planners’ needs aren’t just met — they’re surpassed
Never before has Macau been so accessible for event organisers. While Macau’s airport and two ferry terminals have always provided convenient access to the city, the recent opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge means corporate event delegates now have a panoply of convenient ways to reach the city. Located just five minutes from Macau International Airport, the Taipa Ferry Terminal and Hengqin border and a mere 15 minutes from the Macau Ferry Terminal and Gongbei border, Grand Hyatt Macau is among the most conveniently located MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) hubs in the city. But it’s not just its location that makes the hotel such a prime location for corporate events.
It starts when delegates arrive at the hotel in Macau’s Cotai district. Dedicated counters allow for attendees to check-in quickly and smoothly – a welcome benefit that all delegates will appreciate after their long journeys. Check-in is aided by the hotel’s events specialists who usher attendees to their respective guestrooms, all of which have direct access to the meeting venues on Level 2. And what a collection of venues they are.
Truly, there are few more dramatic spaces to hold an intimate event or dinner than the Grand Hyatt Macau’s Experience Center. A huge floral centrepiece hangs from the ceiling at the centre of the circular room, the intricate petals and lights creating a beautiful display directly above the round table. To add to the effect, a 360-degree audio-visual projector displays images or videos around the room that can be customised to the organisers’ preferences, setting a serene and mesmerising atmosphere within the venue. And with a lobby area for receptions and a boardroom for meetings for up to 30 people, the Experience Center is able to offer a holistic and seamless event experience.
For event organisers looking for a more alfresco feel, the hotel’s Pool Deck on Level 3 is the ideal venue. Featuring a stylish water lounge, four outdoor hot tubs and landscaped gardens, the deck is the perfect venue for barbecues and cocktail receptions. During the warmer summer months, attendees can also enjoy the air-conditioned, nine-metre-high, dome-shaped marquee, which offers 314sqm of comfortable space on the Pool Deck.
For the main event hosting large groups of up to 2,000 attendees, the Grand Hyatt Macau’s 1,900sqm pillarless Grand Ballroom also makes sure to impress. Meanwhile, for smaller groups of up to 360, the adjacent 770-sqm Salão do Teatro (Portuguese for “Show Theater”) lives up to its name with an open show kitchen where as many as 20 chefs can perform live at a time.
These stellar venues are supported by the Grand Hyatt Macau’s standout event concierges and master chefs who work closely alongside organisers to ensure they are able to customise everything from the gourmet menus to the exquisite decorations and technological set-up. At Grand Hyatt Macau, expectations are not only met – they are surpassed.
