Unique vibes for savvy travellers

Hong Kong's newly opened Hotel Purple offers stylish rooms right in the heart of vibrant Causeway Bay

-

The newest edition to the boutique hotel scene is now open. Hotel Purple Hong Kong is located in Tin Hau and near Causeway Bay, Hong Kong’s most vibrant shopping and dining district, and a short free shuttle bus journey to the Airport Express at Hong Kong station. The stop is just in front of the hotel entrance.

So why is the hotel called Hotel Purple? Well, purple represents youth culture where the younger generation is a bit rebellious and needs to seek a breakthrough, and be inspired. Purple also represents vibrancy and enthusiasm.

With 83 stylishly designed en-suite rooms across 24 floors, a chic lounge for chilling and playing traditional Chinese games with friends, and an outside terrace featuring a swing for two, the hotel’s spaces were designed to bring together contemporary comforts and a taste of local life. The perfect base for travelers, Hotel Purple is located in the Tin Hau neighbourhood, which is well-loved among locals and tourists alike for its laid-back charm, selection of culinary hotspots serving up everything from street food to local craft brews and proximity to Causeway Bay, Hong Kong’s famous shopping district.

Just a short stroll from Victoria Park, five minutes from the MTR and with tram and airport bus stops nearby, there’s no

corner of Hong Kong that can’t be easily explored from Hotel Purple.

Hotel Purple was created for a new generation of savvy, independent travelers seeking a comfortable and memorable stay in one of Asia’s most vibrant cities. For those planning new adventures, there’s no better place to jot down a bucket list of activities than comfortably seated in one of the sophisticated bedrooms’ bay windows. Guests are invited to bond over local snacks and boardgames like Ludo in the reception area or on the comfortable terrace, or work up a sweat free of charge at the well-equipped, modern gym across the road.

After a day spent hitting the tourist spots or discovering the city’s hidden gems, Hotel Purple’s balcony swing on the outdoor terrace is the perfect nook to relax in and soak up the sounds of the city. To help guests fuel up for a day of making memories, the hotel is offering ChargeSpot rental power banks and adapters throughout the hotel. The modern interior features purple design elements and other thoughtful touches, combining the serenity of blue with the passionate spirit of red. Each room is also decorated with colourful urban sketches by local artist Laurence Lai.

This hotel is perfect for business travellers and leisure guests.

Hotel Purple is managed by The Ascott Limited. Besides Hotel Purple, the company runs five Hong Kong properties, including Citadines Ashley Hong Kong, Citadines Mercer Hong Kong, Somerset Victoria Park Hong Kong and Hotel Pravo Hong Kong.
