SINGAPORE AIRLINES TO LAUNCH LONDON GATWICK SERVICE

SINGAPORE AIRLINES will launch its inaugural nonstop flights between its Singapore hub and London Gatwick Airport in June 2024, operating the five-times a week service with the long-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Together with its current four-times daily services to London’s Heathrow Airport, this will bring the total number of flights to the UK’s capital to 33 weekly services from the current 28 a week.

Star Alliance member SIA also operates five-times weekly services to Manchester Airport.

Subject to regulatory approval, flight SQ310 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The inaugural flight will depart Singapore for Gatwick at 2355 on June 21, 2024 and arrive in London at 0625 on June 22, 2024.

The return leg, flight SQ309, will operate from Gatwick to Singapore on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing at 1015 on June 22 and arriving in Singapore at 0620 on June 23, 2024.

The early morning arrival offers customers options to connect to SIA and Scoot flights to destinatio­ns across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

SIA’s long-haul A350-900s feature 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 in 1-2-1-configured business class, 24 in premium economy class and 187 in economy class.

The addition of Gatwick increases the number of European destinatio­ns in the SIA network to 14 – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London (Heathrow), London (Gatwick), Manchester, Milan, Munich, Paris, Rome and Zurich.

Tickets for SIA’s flights to London Gatwick were made available for sale at the end of 2023.
