Gift of poetry in new album launch
BEK-JEAN Stewart and her band, the Appaloosa Orchestra of the Boulevard, will be playing at the opening of the new Town Square in Palmwoods on Saturday, December 9.
Bek-Jean and the band will be launching her fourth solo album, Records are Written in the Bones.
This spirited and emotionally rich album is a follow to her previous album Amos V Ann.
Bek-Jean’s musical career began in the early 1990s when she was the lead singer and principal songwriter of the indie darling band, Eva Trout.
She has been working as a solo artist since 2007, when her album Junior Years was celebrated by critics here and overseas.
Americana UK declared the album “a superb rejoinder to Ryan Adams’s Heartbreaker”.
Bek-Jean’s music and songwriting is both uplifting and heartbreaking.
Her songwriting reflects her passion for the natural world and her gift for poetry.
