CHIL­DREN can im­merse them­selves in the world of sport, games and fun over the sum­mer break with a huge range of free ac­tiv­i­ties at Sun­shine Coast Coun­cil’s li­braries.

Young tech geeks can be­come a ro­bot mas­ter and learn how to bat­tle EZ ro­bots or out­smart and out­play their friends in a game of

Pac­man us­ing Ozobots. There will also be an op­por­tu­nity to meet Kevin, Sun­shine Coast Li­braries hu­manoid NaoBot, and if you are old enough you can even learn how to code him.

For those who en­joy games, there will be life-size board games to chal­lenge your friends, word games, puz­zle finds and colour-ins or come in and take part in the Game On scav­enger hunt.

Com­mu­nity port­fo­lio coun­cil­lor Jenny McKay said there was some­thing for kids of all ages at coun­cil’s li­braries these sum­mer hol­i­days.

“Our li­braries have cre­ated an­other ex­cit­ing hol­i­day pro­gram which will def­i­nitely in­ter­est kids across the Coast,” Cr McKay said.

“They will be en­ter­tained by Fuzzy Furry Friends pup­pet show or they can meet and learn all about snakes from Ju­lia Baker from An­i­mal Planet’s Snake Boss tele­vi­sion series.”

“We en­cour­age fam­i­lies to take ad­van­tage of these free and fun-filled ac­tiv­i­ties to en­ter­tain the chil­dren through­out the com­ing hol­i­days.
