Blue Planet II final, Nine, Sunday at 7pm

AFTER wowing viewers over the past six weeks, the final episode of Sir David Attenborough’s (pictured) landmark series Blue Planet II is here.

Our Blue Planet examines the role of human activity on the oceans.

Microplastics and pollution are an increasing problem for the world's seas, threatening the lives of marine life and ultimately affecting the ecosystem.

Mother dolphins are potentially exposing their newborn calves to pollutants through their contaminated milk, and the noise of ships and drilling rigs are making it difficult for marine animals who use sounds to communicate to even be heard. Can humans reverse their activity to protect the seas and the wildlife that inhabits it?
