DESIGNING a garden is a wonderful experience, looking back at the finished garden and seeing your ideas come to life, but it is an awful feeling when you have spent your money and got it wrong.

Whether your garden is 4000sq m or 40sq m the size does not matter, how it looks and works for you when you have finished is the most important.

If you have good ideas, but you are not sure how to make them great it would be worth your while to find a qualified horticulturist or landscape architect to help you.

These people have years of experience and a truck load of ideas that you may not have dreamt of.

An idea might be a bench seat, the seat may be made from old recycled timber, or it may be wrought iron, it may not be a bench seat at all, it maybe a single seat for you to have some alone time in the garden.

Design ideas are important and endless, but just as important is how these single ideas are put together.

Unless you have had experience in landscape design, find someone who has, you will love the difference.
