THE racing season has come to an end for the Sunshine Coast Turf Club (SCTC).

Trainer Stuart Kendrick, jockey Damian Browne and apprentice jockey Stephanie Lucy made huge achievements winning the annual Caloundra RSL SCTC Premierships.

Mr Kendrick won the Trainer’s Premiership and took out the annual SCTC Trainer’s Premiership for the fifth consecutive season.

Mr Brown has made eight SCTC jockey titles in nine years.

Ms Lacy took out the Lianne Crook Memorial Shield for the 2017/2018 SCTC Apprentice of the Year.

SCTC chief executive John Miller spoke with all the Caloundra resident winners.

“Stuart being a trainer here prides himself on winning the the local premiership on his home track.

“Damian’s the same. He wanted to get that trophy back on the mantelpiece - so to speak.

“Stephanie’s had a great season too with 23 races with local trainers,” he said.
