Time to recog­nise achiev­ers

CALOUN­DRA state mem­ber Mark McAr­dle has called on the lo­cal com­mu­nity to help recog­nise in­di­vid­u­als and groups do­ing outstandin­g work by nom­i­nat­ing them for the Caloun­dra Elec­torate Com­mu­nity Awards.

The an­nual awards, aim to recog­nise Caloun­dra’s top achiev­ers in nine ma­jor cat­e­gories.

“I have hosted th­ese awards for six years and I al­ways en­joy read­ing about peo­ple, groups and busi­nesses who are do­ing im­por­tant work be­hind the scenes in the Caloun­dra Elec­torate.

“They are quiet achiev­ers, there­fore it is im­por­tant the com­mu­nity takes the time to nom­i­nate so we can shine a light on the work they are do­ing,” Mr McAr­dle said.

Caloun­dra Bendigo Bank man­ager Pip Fawcett said “we all know that per­son who goes above and be­yond for our com­mu­nity” and is urg­ing oth­ers to vote.

The awards will recog­nise high achieve­ment in var­i­ous cat­e­gories.
