Magic of movie music
ENJOY an afternoon of nostalgia as the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra takes you back in time to re-live the drama and romance of some classic movie and musical songs.
From the turbulence and the turmoil of Hollywood western The Big Country to the gentle thwarted romance of Ladies in Lavender, the orchestra will take you on a movie musical journey.
It will also perform the over-the-top, in-your-face exuberance of Seventy-six
Trombones and the inept
bungling of Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther.
The Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra’s fourth concert in their 2018 season is one not to be missed, whether a movie musical enthusiast or not.
The show will be conducted by Adrian King and will take place at 2pm on August 8 at St Peter’s Anglican Church, corner of Church Street and Beach Road, Maroochydore.
Tickets are $20 pre-purchased or $25 at the door, cash only.
An afternoon tea of cupcakes will be provided.
They can be purchased at the Old Post Office, Burnett Street, Buderim, over the phone by phoning 5445 3703 or go to sunshinecoast symphonyorchestra.com.
MAJOR SCORE: Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra will present movie music.
