SLIP­PERY snakes, rad­i­cal rep­tiles and friendly frogs are tak­ing cen­tre stage these school hol­i­days as Sun­shine Coast Coun­cil un­wraps the won­der­ful world of

with a se­ries of cre­ative, crafty and in­spir­ing work­shops at the Ma­roochy Re­gional Bush­land Botanic Gar­den.

The Arts and Ecol­ogy Cen­tre will come alive un­til Oc­to­ber 4 with work­shops fo­cused on lo­cal am­phib­ian and rep­til­ian char­ac­ters. From tur­tle tales to un­cov­er­ing leg­endary leap frogs, these work­shops will have imag­i­na­tive young minds hop­ping, slid­ing and leap­ing.

Come along and write your own rep­tile story, paint a frog, learn to etch a species or dis­cover theindige­nous leg­end of Goom­buckar the frog and make your own pup­pet.

Chil­dren can also join award-win­ning Sun­shine Coast au­thor Aleesah Darli­son as she takes her read­ers on an ocean-in­spired ad­ven­ture of her chil­dren’s book,
